On July 27 we posted information about an event happening this November. We can now confirm what the event is and when it will be! You heard it here first, Arceus is coming this November! Arceus will be distributed this year at Toys"R"Us. There are two date ranges we have received. We are unsure at the moment what they mean, but the first date is November 6 to November 9 and November 7 to November 15. Early news stated that it would be only for Platinum but now it may be available for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. We will bring you more information about an official announcement from Pokémon.com and any news we receive before that. At one point, Toys"R'Us may not have been the store because of a problem with the DSi colors and a store in Canada releasing pictures of the colors. Thanks to our global moderator Pokemaniac for getting this information for us.

2009 Pokémon World Championships
Article Posted By: yankeesrule3526 on August 15, 2009 : 19:36 EST
The 2009 Pokémon World Championship is about an hour away from the closing ceremonies. With that, the Weavile distribution is now over. For information on the Weavile, click here. Unlike previous World events, Weavile was distributed both wirelessly and via slot 2. They had to distribute it wirelessly because of the lack of a slot 2 on the Nintendo DSi. A website has posted news that the shiny Milotic was also available. This is a 100% lie and has also been confirmed false by people who actually went.

Pokémon World Championship 2009
Article Posted By: yankeesrule3526 on August 7, 2009 : 08:33 EST
We are less than a week away from the 2009 Pokémon Trading Card and Video Game Championship. It is set to begin on August 13 and end August 15 in San Diego, California. Once again, a special Pokémon will be given away on the last day of the event. But this year they are doing something different. The Pokémon is Weavile. What is special about it? This year, all players except for Korean will be able to download it. It is unclear at this time whether the Weavile will be the same or if it will be different. English, Italian, and German players can download Weavile from 11:00am - 1:00pm at the Sapphire West Foyer. French, Spanish, and Japanese players can download Weavile from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Sapphire West Foyer. One special note is that for the past three years, the Pokémon given away has been in the Pokémon Worlds Championship for that year. In 2007 Pikachu was in the logo. In 2008, Lucario was in the logo. This year, Weavile is shown on the logo.
The First HG & SS Event
Article Posted By: yankeesrule3526 on August 3, 2009 : 22:53 EST
We are almost a month away from the most talked about Pokémon game coming out and already an event has been announced for only the two games. The event was originally announced on Pokémon Sunday but Pokémon.co.jp has updated the mini-site for the games with crystal clear pictures from the show. The event utilizes the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and the PokéWalker. It unlocks a new area on the PokéWalker called the Yellow Forest and it is full of a yellow mouse Pokémon called Pikachu. The event is available from Friday, September 19, 2009 to Tuesday, November 10, 2009 via Wi-Fi and at select stores. There is also one more special thing about the Pikachu. It knows a special move!
The text that appears when transferring the gift to the PokeWalker roughly says that "various Pikachu live in this forest peacefully" and "let's walk a while and look for Pikachu!"

We would also just like to remind you that the Member Card is available to all US and Europe players.
Europe Member Card
Article Posted By: yankeesrule3526 on August 3, 2009 : 06:35 EST
While the official Europe Pokémon Platinum websites have not official announced the Member Card for Pokémon Platinum, people are able to download the Member Card all across Europe. We expect it is available from Monday, August 3, 2009 to Sunday, September 13, 2009 like in North America. It is only available via Wi-Fi. The Member Card allows you to catch Darkrai on Newmoon Island. To battle and capture Darkrai, you must first have the National Pokédex. Make sure you visit the little boy in Canalave City who is having nightmares. Travel to Full Moon Island and approach Cresselia. It will flee and leave the Lunar Wing. Return to the boy and save him from his nightmare. Then, hop on the ferry at the Harbor Inn on the northeast section of the city. Newmoon Island will now be available as a destination and Darkrai will be waiting for you, so be ready to catch it. It is at level 50 and its ability is Bad Dreams.
